Our professional petrol-driven scarifying machines aid in the control of moss and remove thatch. Thatch build-up tends to be caused by grass clippings and other organic matter being left on the surface of your lawn. If left it deprives your lawn of much needed water and oxygen and encourages disease.

Once the machine scarification is completed all clippings and debris are hand-raked by our fully qualified, uniformed staff. They then bag it all up and take it away at no extra cost to you.

Core Aeration

Our professional hollow-tine core aeration machines help relieve compaction that has built up over the course of the year. Compaction can be caused by heavy lawn traffic such as cutting the grass or walking on the lawn. Aerating your lawn will help reduce compaction, allowing air to circulate and water to reach the roots of the grass. Aeration helps the LawnHopper® spring and summer fertilizers penetrate beneath the surface level.

Aeration brings cores to the surface of the lawn. We highly recommend that these cores are left on the lawn* as they act as a ‘top dressing’ once broken down. Depending on the type of soil in your lawn you should notice the cores beginning to break down with the help of natural weather conditions, within 2-4 weeks of aeration taking place.
